The Schools founder, Margaret Hodkin’s first love was the creative arts. She started the famous Greenfields Theatre Company, which produces shows every year. In these shows all students in the school are involved–with scripting, directing, producing, acting, props and scenery, lighting, promotion and marketing, accounting etc. In the early days, Margaret personally supervised this activity for several years. Greenfields is an enduring legacy of Margaret, but we have also decided to honour her life with a new facility at Greenfields–the Margaret Hodkin Creative Arts Centre. Combining drama, dance, music and song in a purpose-built building named after Margaret will ensure that future generations will not only have a place to develop all of their creative talents but will also know the person who started it all.
